Remote Emergency Power-off Input
REPO is used to shut down the UPS from a distance. This feature can be
used for shutting down the load and the UPS by thermal relay, for
instance in the event of room overtemperature. Remote shutdown wires
are connected onconnectorX2 (see Figure 18 on page 46).
The pins of connector X2 have beenconnected together. When this
connection is open, the logic circuitry completely shuts down the UPS,
thus preventing the power from supplying the load.
NOTE In orderto restart theUPS,the pinsofconnectorX2 have tobe connected, the
batterybreaker (CB1) mustbe reset, and theUPSON/OFFswitch must be turned off
and thenbackon. Thepinsmustbe shorted inorder tokeep theUPSrunning.
Maximumresistanceis10 ohm.
CAUTION
The REPOmust notbe connected to anyutility connected circuits.Reinforced
insulation to the utility is required. The REPOswitchmusthave aminimumrating of
24 Vdcand20 mA.

Efficiency Optimizer Function
This feature can be activated by your service representative. The
Efficiency Optimizer function minimizes power loss and reduces power
consumption by automatically switching between Bypass and Online
Mode according to the utility power condition.
When utility power is constant and free from disturbances, the UPS
switches automatically to Bypass Mode for maximum efficiency. The
UPS detects all power imperfections instantly and returns to Online
Mode when necessary. As a result, the UPS reaches up to 98% average
efficiency.
