3. Measureyour heart rate, if desired.
Tomeasure your
heartrate, stop
pedalingand
placeyour thumb
on the heart rate
sensoras shown.
Do not press too
hard, or the cir-
culation In your
thumb will be restricted, and your pulse will not
be detected. Aftera few seconds,the heart-shaped
indicatorin the displaywillflashsteadily, two dash-
es willappear, and then yourheartrate willbe
shown.Holdyourthumb on the heart rate sensor
foranother 15 secondsfor the mostaccurateread-
ing.If the displayedhead rate appearsto be too
highor too low,or if yourheart rateis notdisplayed,
liftyourthumb offthe heart ratesensorand allow
the displayto reseLThen, placeyour thumb on the
heartrate sensoras describedabove.
Makesurethat youare applyingthe properamount
of pressuretothe heartrata sensor.Trythe heart
rate sensorseveraltimesuntilyou become fsmllk_r
with it.Rememberto standstillwhUemeasuring
yourheart rate.
4. To turnoffthe power,simplywaitfor a few minutes.
The console has an "auto-off" feature. If the
pedals are not moved and the On/Reset button
Is not pressed for • few minutes, the power will
turn off automatically to conserve the betfedes.
