How to Replace UPS Internal Batteries

C A U T I O N

S Pull the battery trays out onto a flat, stable surface. The battery trays are unsupported

when you pull them out of the UPS.

S The UPS battery trays are heavy. A minimum of two people are required to lift the

battery trays into the UPS chassis.

To replace the UPS internal batteries:

1. Remove the UPS front cover by pulling on both ends (pull harder on

the left side and lift the front cover off the right retaining hook).

2. Unscrew and set aside the battery retaining bracket (see Figure 29).
