Device Options
To change these settings, from the Main Menu:
• Tap Preferences > Device tab.
Adjust Screen Night Mode Darkness
Set the brightness level for night time screen display. Tap
and drag the
to brighten or darken the screen display.
Day/Night Map Color
Select the default display mode for the device. Options are:
Auto, Day Mode (the display uses brighter colors), Night
Mode (the display uses darker colors) and Auto Mode
(adjusts display for day or night viewing automatically).
Map Auto Zoom Select how zoom out displays on the map. Options are:
O (no zoom) , On, Auto Scale (always zoom to keep the
current vehicle position and the next turn in the map
view), On, Street Scale (maximum zoom out to the local
street level between turns), On, City Scale (maximum zoom
out to the city level between turns, or On, County Scale
(maximum zoom out to the county level between turns).
Note: Map redraw speed is impacted by autozoom choice,
especially when combined with 3D map display option.
Keyboard Select the type of keyboard to be used. Options are: ABC or
Computer (QWERTY).
Voice Name Select the voice to be used to issue spoken instructions.
Language Select the language to be used to display on the device
and issue spoken instructions.
Warning/Alert Prompts
Select the type of speed warning to be issued. Options
are: Audio, Visual, Audio & Visual, or None. (See “Warning
Options” on page 115 for more information on setting
warnings.)
