6. Connect With Rand
Custom POI Information
To upload custom POI fi les to your device:
1. Connect your device to the Rand McNally Dock.
2. On the Dock, click Add Locations. You can also upload an
Address Book.
3. Click POI (for destinations) or Alert POI (for warnings).
4. Select the fi le from your computer.
5. Click Open to automatically transfer the fi le to your device.
6. Unplug your device from your computer.
7. Plug your device into power using the power adapter.
8. Turn the device on.
9. Depending on the size, the download could take up to 30 minutes.
Note: “Failed records” are those for which some information was
dropped from the records. If you would like to know why some
records failed, plug your device into your computer, and view the
error messages in the Dock.
10. Customize how you want the POIs to display in
Preferences > My Custom POIs. (See page 8.)
