b) Switching on the IR Transmitter
First push the control lever for the pitch function to the bot-
tomposition(alsoseegure1,item5).
Slidetheon/offswitch(seegure1,item6)fromthelower
position "OFF" to the upper position "ON".
TheLEDoftheoperationcontroldisplay(2)ashesquick-
lyandshows thatthetransmitter issufcientlysupplied
with voltage.
Slidethecontrolstickforthepitchfunction(alsoseegure
1, item 5) to the top position and then right back to the bot-
tom one. The LED of the operating control display (2) now
must be lit permanently.
Attention!
IftheLEDoftheoperatingcontroldisplayisonlylitweaklyanymoreandstartstoashslowly(belowap-
prox. 6 V), the inserted batteries must be replaced by fresh ones.
c) Operation of the IR Transmitter
HoldtheIRtransmitterinbothhandsandoperatethetwocontrollevers(seegure1,item3and5)withyourthumbs.
Signal transmission from the transmitter to the model takes place via an IR light signal (invisible to the hu-
man eye) instead of by radio.
ItisthereforeimportantthatyourIRtransmitterdiodes(seegure1,item1)arealways"targeted"atthe
model to achieve best signal transfer.
Obstacles between the transmitter and model can impair signal transmission. Therefore, always observe a
direct "line of sight" between the transmitter and the model helicopter.
