12. Troubleshooting
Even though the model and the remote control system were built to the state of the art, there may still be malfunctions
or faults. For this reason, we would like to give you some information on how to deal with possible problems.
Problem Remedy
Transmitter doesn’t respond. • Check the batteries in the transmitter.
• Check the polarity of the batteries in the transmitter.
• Check the on/off switch.
The LED of the operating control
display is only lightly lit.
• Check or replace the batteries in the transmitter.
Charging through the transmitter
takes too long.
• The batteries in the transmitter are too weak.
• Always use batteries instead of rechargeable batteries in the transmit-
ter.
The charge indicator display in the
USB plug is not lit.
• Theightbatteryinthehelicopterisalreadycharged.
• The charger plug is not correctly connected to the helicopter.
• USB plug is not connected correctly.
Rotors do not start. • Checkightbatterychargingstate.
• Check ease of movement of the mechanics.
• Repeat switching on.
Helicopter does not lift off the ground. • Checkightbatterychargingstate.
• Check ease of movement of the drive mechanics.
• Rotor blades defective.
Helicopter does not react to control
commands.
• Repeat switching on on different channels (A, B or C).
• Interferences from solar irradiation, strong light sources or other IR
transmitters like wireless IR headphones.
• Always point the IR-LED in the transmitter directly at the helicopter.
Helicopter rotates around the yaw
axis (rotor shaft).
• Trimminginthemodel(seegure12).
• Repeat switching on and ensure that the helicopter is not moved or
rotated.
• Check ease of movement of the drive mechanics.
Theighttimeistooshort. • Rechargeightbattery.
• The mechanics are stiff.
• Theightbatteryisdefective.
• Rotor blades are defective.
• Always use batteries instead of rechargeable batteries in the transmit-
ter.
