To disable undervoltage detection, proceed as follows:
• Switch on the remote control.
• Switch off the speed controller.
• Press and hold the button on the speed controller (see
arrow in right-hand image), and then switch on the
speed controller (keep the button pressed down, do not
release!).
• Ifthemotorbeepsonce("•"),releasethebuttonimme-
diately.
You will then hear three long beeps ("
").
• Undervoltage detection is now disabled.
Undervoltage detection should be disabled when you use a NiMH vehicle battery, otherwise you will not be
able to use the full battery capacity and the battery life will be shorter.
When the vehicle is powered by a NiMH battery, the driving mode should be set if the vehicle slows down
signicantly.
c) Setting the speed controller mode (normal or crawler mode)
Speed controllers are used in crawler vehicles (e.g. in this model) and in conventional vehicles (e.g. buggys).
Crawler vehicles are specially designed for slow vehicles for practising skilled moves. The transmission on
these vehicles is heavily reduced, therefore they can only travel at slow speeds even at full throttle.
After the speed controller has been switched on, the red LED indicates the current mode.
Constant red LED: Crawler mode (default setting)
Flashing red LED: Normal mode (should not be used for the crawler vehicle)
Crawler mode:
The brake is activated when the throttle/brake lever is moved to the neutral position. This makes it easier to control
crawler vehicles (e.g. on a slope).
Normal mode:
In this mode, the speed controller provides the forwards, brake and reverse functions. The brake is activated when the
throttle/brake lever on the remote control from the forwards to reverse without a pause.
When the lever is moved from forwards to the neutral position, the vehicle coasts to a standstill (without the brakes).
