c) Changing/mounting the wheels
Thetyresarexedonthewheelrimandcannotberemoved.Ifatyreisworn,theentirewheelmustbereplaced.
Loosen and remove the wheel nut (A) with a suitable
socket wrench. Then remove the lock washer (B) from the
wheelaxle(D).
Removethewheelbypullingitoffofthewheelaxle(D).
Attachthenewwheelsothatthehexsocketontheinside
ofthewheelrimtsexactlyoverthewheelhubnut(C).
Placethelockwasher(B)onthewheelaxle(D)andscrew
thewheeltothewheelaxlewiththewheelnut(A)thatyou
previously removed.
Do not apply any force when tightening the wheel nut, oth-
erwise the wheel will not spin freely and the powertrain
may be damaged.
When you remove the wheel, the wheel hub nut (C) may accidentally get stuck in the wheel rim or become
detachedfromthewheelaxis(D).Ensurethatthedrivepin(E)doesnotfalloff.
Ifthewheelissubsequentlyre-tted,itisimportanttocheckthatthedrivepin(E)isinsertedexactlyintothe
centreofthewheelaxle(D)andthatitispositionedinthecorrespondingnotchonthewheelhubnut(C).
If the drive pin (E) is missing, no torque can be transferred from the motor to the wheel and the wheel will
spin freely.
