QUICKSHIFT 5 GEARBOX (continued)
Starting up
Moving forwards (starting in
neutral)
The gear display shows N and A.
• With your foot on the brake
pedal, push the selector lever
toward the front and then release
it again.
• Release the brake pedal:
- it is possible to carry out parking
manoeuvres when the engine is
idling.
- accelerate gently to move off.
Note: you can pull away in second
gear if you are driving on slippery
surfaces (snow, mud, etc.).
To do this, move the gear selector
lever twice with your foot on the
brake pedal.
The figure 2 appears on the
dashboard display. The system is
then running in semi-automatic
mode.
To return to automatic mode, press
the mode change button.
Reverse
• Foot on the brake pedal. Push the
lever as far as it will go to the
right, hold and pull back
according to the marking on the
knob, then release it. Reverse gear
is engaged and the letter R
appears on the display.
• Release the brake pedal:
- it is possible to carry out parking
manoeuvres when the engine is
idling.
- accelerate gently to reverse.
Note: You should put your foot on
the brake to engage or disengage a
gear when stopping. Otherwise, the
gear selected will flash and the
warning light 3 will come on.
