ENGINE MOUNTING
Left-hand suspended engine mounting: Removal - Refitting

REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Remove:
- the air inlet sleeve,
- the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refitting)
(80A, Battery),
- the battery tray,
- the injection computer (see 17B, Petrol injection,
Petrol injection computer: Removal - Refitting,
page 17B-7) ,
- the engine undertray.
a Fit the engine support tool (Mot. 1453) with the re-
taining belt, taking the flywheel end lifting eye as an
anchoring point.
a Mark the position of the left-hand suspended engine
mounting on the body.
II - REMOVAL OPERATION
a Remove the nut (1) from the gearbox support on the
rubber pad.
a Strike the gearbox stud with a copper hammer to
separate the engine and gearbox assembly from the
body.
a Remove:
- the nuts (2) from the rubber pad,
- the rubber pad,
