Thermocouple
This bi-metal device
detects pilot flame heat
and carries millivolt
current to the magnet
assembly in the gas
control valve which
sends gas to the
burner assembly to
ignite the burner.
Pilot Burner
Designed to light the
main burner when the
thermostat senses the
demand for more heat.
T & P Relief
Valve:
Safety device that
allows water to
escape from the
tank in the unlikely
event that the
temperature or
pressure becomes
excessive. Designed
to operate at
approx. 150 PSI
and 210º F.
Drain Valve:
Used to drain hot
water from the tank
when performing
periodic cleaning or
replacing a part.
