OPERATION
WARNING:
Do not allow familiarity with products to make you
careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a
second is sufficient to inflict severe injury.
WARNING:
Always remove battery pack from the tool when
you are assembling parts, making adjustments,
cleaning, or when not in use. Removing battery
pack will prevent accidental starting that could
cause serious personal injury.
WARNING:
Always wear eye protection with side shields
marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do
so could result in objects being thrown into your
eyes, resulting in possible serious injury.
APPLICATIONS
You may use this product for the purposes listed below:
Numerous applications are available depending upon
the attachment head installed. Refer to the operator’s
manual for the attachment head being used for specific
application details.
OVERLOAD PROTECTION
If the tool is forced or is overloaded, the power base will
automatically shut off, you will hear Tone 1 (three fast, high-
pitched beeps), and the Ready LED will flash red. To reset
the tool, release the trigger, then resume operation. Do not
force the tool.
HIGH TEMPERATURE PROTECTION
If the tool or battery overheats, the tool will automatically shut
off, you will hear Tone 1 (three fast, high-pitched beeps), and
the Ready LED will light solid red. The Ready LED will turn
green when the tool is cool and ready to resume operation.
If the trigger is pulled before the tool has sufficiently cooled
the Ready LED will flash red and you will hear Tone 1 (three
fast, high-pitched beeps).
LED GRIP LIGHT SWITCH
See Figure 1, page 10.
Attachment heads feature LED work lights that are
illuminated when either the switch trigger or the grip light
switch are depressed.
MULTIFUNCTION BUTTON
See Figure 1, page 10.
The action provided by the multifunction button is deter-
mined by the attachment head installed. Not all attachment
heads will use the multifunction button. The multifunction
button may function as a trigger lock-on and/or lock-out,
depending on the head attached. Refer to the operator’s
manual provided with your attachment head to determine
what purpose, if any, it performs.
SWITCH TRIGGER/VARIABLE SPEED
SWITCH TRIGGER
See Figure 1, page 10.
Depending on the attachment head installed, the switch trig-
ger will either function strictly to turn the tool on and off or
as a variable speed switch trigger, which will deliver higher
speed with increased trigger pressure and lower speed with
decreased trigger pressure.
In either case, to turn the tool ON, depress the switch trig-
ger. To turn it OFF, release the switch trigger and allow the
tool to come to a complete stop. The trigger will not operate
the power base unless an attachment head is attached and
the direction of rotation selector is in either the forward or
reverse position.
NOTE: A whistling or ringing noise coming from the switch
during use is a normal part of the switch function.
