SECTION 4: First-Aid Measures
First-aid measures general: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice
(show the label where possible).
Inhalation: IF INHALED: Remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Call a
POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell. If breathing stops, give artificial respiration. If
breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
Skin Contact: IF ON SKIN: Immediately rinse with plenty of soap and water (for at least 15 minutes). If skin irritation
occurs, get medical advice/attention. Remove contaminated clothing/shoes and wash before reuse
Eye Contact: IF IN EYES: Rinse immediately and thoroughly, pulling the eyelids well away from the eye (15 minutes
minimum). Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do so. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation occurs,
get medical advice/attention.
Ingestion: IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician. Do NOT induce vomiting.
Obtain emergency medical attention.

Symptoms/injuries after inhalation:
Inhalation in high concentrations may cause irritation of the mucous membranes. Solvent vapors are
hazardous and may cause nausea, sickness and headaches. Aspiration of this material into the lungs may
cause chemical pneumonia or death.
Symptoms/injuries after skin contact:
Contact is likely to cause irritation.
Symptoms/injuries after eye contact:
Direct contact with the eyes is likely to be irritating.
Symptoms/injuries after ingestion:
May be harmful if swallowed. Acute ingestion causes CNS depression, oropharyngeal and gastric pain
and vomiting.
