Connections/Turning On the Power

Once the connections have been properly completed, be sure to
use the steps described below to turn on the STANDBY switch.
Turning on STANDBY in the wrong order risks malfunction
and/or damage to speakers and other devices (reverse the
procedure when turning off the STANDBY switch).

* Always make sure to have the volume level turned down before turning
on the STANDBY switch. Even with the volume all the way down, you
may still hear some sound when the STANDBY switch is turned on,
but this is normal, and does not indicate a malfunction.

* If you need to turn off the power completely, first turn off the
STANDBY switch, then unplug the power cord from the power outlet.

turn off the power on all
devices before making
any connections.

When connection cables
with resistors are used,
the volume level of
equipment connected to
the input (LINE IN) may
be low. If this happens,
use connection cables
that do not contain
resistors.

with a circuitry
protection feature. A few
moments are required
after the STANDBY
switch is turned on
before the unit is ready
for normal operation.
