Error Message List
If an incorrect operation is performed, or if processing could not be performed as you specied, an error message appears.
Refer to the explanation for the error message that appears, and take the appropriate action.
Message Meaning Action
Cannot Import! Sound data cannot be imported.
An import destination has not been selected. Select the import destination
(p. 95).
File Not Selected! No le is selected. Select a le.
Incorrect File!
This is a le that the FA is unable to play. Do not use this le.
The audio le format is invalid. Use a WAV/AIFF le that complies with the guidelines (p. 16).
The format of an SMF you intend to import to an arpeggio style or
rhythm pattern must be Format 0.
Make sure that the SMF youre importing is in Format 0.
The SMF you attempted to import cannot be loaded into the FA.
SMF data that contains a time signature other than the time signature
specied in the Pattern Time Signature (p. 50) setting cannot be loaded by the
FA. You need to change the time signature data of the SMF.
Memory Damaged! The contents of internal memory may have been damaged.
Execute the factory reset operation (p. 95).
If this does not solve the problem, contact your dealer or customer support.
MIDI Buer Full!
An unusually large amount of MIDI data was received, and could not
be processed.
Reduce the amount of MIDI messages that are being transmitted.
MIDI Oine! The MIDI IN connection was broken.
Check that there is no problem with the MIDI cable connected to the FA’s MIDI
IN, and that the MIDI cable was not disconnected.
Now Playing! Since the FA is playing, this operation cannot be executed. Stop playback before you execute the operation.
Now Recording! Since the FA is recording, this operation cannot be executed. Stop recording before you execute the operation.
Permission Denied!
The operation could not be performed because the read-only attribute
is set for the folder or le.
Use your computer to clear the read-only attribute of the le or folder.
Program Error!
The FA was unable to start up.
The program could not be read correctly. Alternatively, the system
update program may be invalid.
Use the correct program to perform the update once again.
If this does not solve the problem, contact your dealer or customer support.
Read Error!
Data could not be read from the SD card. Make sure that SD card is correctly inserted (p. 108).
The le is damaged. Do not use this le.
Rec Length Too Long!
The allowable sampling time has been exceeded.
The allowable number of measures for realtime recording has been
exceeded.
Rec Over Flow
Since a large amount of recorded data was input all at once, it could
not be processed correctly.
Reduce the amount of recorded data.
Rhythm Pattern Full!
The maximum number of notes that can be recorded in one rhythm
pattern has been exceeded; the rhythm pattern cannot be recorded
any further.
Delete unneeded data from the rhythm pattern that you’re recording.
Sample Length Too
Short!
The sample is too short, and cannot be edited correctly. If the sample is extremely short, editing may not produce the desired result.
Song Full!
Since the maximum number of notes that can be recorded in a song or
phrase has been exceeded, no further recording/editing is possible.
Use the Track Modify operations Delete or Erase to remove unneeded data
from the song that youre recording or editing (p. 64).
System Memory
Damaged!
The contents of system memory may be damaged.
Execute the factory reset operation (p. 95).
If this does not solve the problem, contact your dealer or customer support.
SD Card Error!
The SD card format is invalid. Use the FA to format the SD card (p. 96).
Data cannot be read from the SD card.
Make sure that the SD card is correctly inserted (p. 108).
Data cannot be written to the SD card.
SD Card Full! There is insucient space on the SD card. Delete unneeded data (p. 73).
SD Card Locked! Writing or erasure are not possible because the SD card is locked. Turn o the power, remove the SD card, and unlock it.
SD Card Not Ready!
The SD card is not inserted, or is inserted incompletely.
Turn o the unit, rmly insert the SD card, and then turn on the unit once
again (p. 19, p. 108).
The SD card was removed after you selected data that was on the SD
card.
The format of the SD card is invalid. Use the FA to format the SD card (p. 96).
Too Much Data!
The SMF youre importing to an arpeggio style or rhythm pattern
contains too much data.
Keep the SMF data within 500 notes (note-on/o ) for an arpeggio style, and
within 4,000 events for a rhythm pattern.
You Cannot Erase This message cannot be erased.
Write Error!
Data could not be written to the SD card. Make sure that SD card is correctly inserted (p. 108).
The format of the SD card is invalid. Use the FA to format the SD card (p. 96).
