Editing the Motional Surround Settings
Here’s how to turn Motional Surround on/o and specify the size of
the room.
1. In the MOTIONAL SURROUND screen, press the [ENTER]
button.
MOTIONAL SURROUND EDIT screen will appear.
2. Use the cursor buttons to select the item you want to edit,
and use the value dial to edit the value.
You can use the cursor [ ] [ ] buttons to switch tabs.
Tab Parameter Explanation
COMMON
These are overall settings for Motional Surround.
Room Type Species the room type.
Room Size Species the room size.
Motional
Surround Depth
Species the depth of the Motional
Surround eect.
Ambience Level Species the volume of ambience.
Ambience Time Species the duration of ambience.
Ambience
Density
Species the density of ambience.
Ambience HF
Damp
Species the frequency at which the high
range of the ambience will be cut.
PART
These numerically specify the position of each part’s
instrument.
You can also use MIDI control changes to control the values
of these parameters (except for Width).
L-R
Species the left/right position.
Control change number
• 1–16 Part : CC12
• Ext Part : CC28
F-B
Species the front/rear (back) position.
Control change number
• 1–16 Part : CC13
• Ext Part : CC29
Width
Species the width of the positioned
sound.
Ambience Send
Level
Species the send level to ambience
Control change number
• 1–16 Part : CC14
• Ext Part : CC30
CONTROL
Ext Part Control
Ch
Species the MIDI channel used when
controlling the front/back/left/right
position and ambience send level of an
Ext part via MIDI.

Turning Eects On/O
1. In the top screen, press the [EFFECTS] button.
The EFFECTS ROUTING screen will appear.
When Motional Surround is “o”
When Motional Surround is “on”
2. Use the cursor buttons to select the eect that you want
to turn on/o.
3. Use [DEC] [INC] button to turn each eect on/o.
