Overall problems
The unit turns o
unexpectedly
Check the Auto O system setting. The INTEGRA-7 will
automatically be turned o when no operation has been
performed for a certain length of time. (At the factory settings,
the power will be turned o after 4 hours.)
If you want the INTEGRA-7 to stay on, change the Auto O
system setting to “OFF.
p. 55
Unit won’t turn on
Is the included AC power cord correctly connected to an outlet
and to the INTEGRA-7?
Make sure that the AC power cord is connected correctly.
Do not use anything other than the included AC power cord;
otherwise, you risk causing a malfunction.
p. 22
No sound
Is the connected amp or speaker powered up? Turn on the power of the connected amp or speaker.
p. 21
Could the volume of a connected device have been lowered? Adjust the volume of the connected equipment.
Could the [VOLUME] knob be set to the minimum level? Adjust the [VOLUME] knob.
Are your amp, speakers, headphones, etc., connected correctly? Correctly connect your amp, speakers, and headphones. p. 23
Can you connect headphones and hear sound through them?
If you hear sound through your headphones, it may be that there
is a broken connection cable, or that your amp or mixer have
malfunctioned. Check your connection cables and equipment
once again.
p. 20
Does the MIDI receive channel match?
Make sure that the MIDI transmit channel of the connected device
matches the MIDI receive channel (Rx Channel) of the INTEGRA-7.
p. 32
Could you be using a connection cable that contains a resistor? Use a connection cable that does not contain a resistor. p. 23
Problems with the Synthesizer sound
No sound
Could the tones partials be turned o? Turn on the “Partial Switch. p. 42
Could the level setting be too low? In the “SOUND system settings, check “Master Level. p. 48
Are the eect settings correct?
Check the eect on/o settings. Also check settings such as the
eect levels.
p. 36, p. 41
Has the expansion sound data been loaded correctly?
If the settings of the sound use a tone, wave, or instrument of an
expansion sound, make sure that the corresponding expansion
sound data is loaded correctly.
p. 15
Could the volume have been lowered by a MIDI message
(volume message or expression message) received from an
external MIDI device?
Adjust the Level setting to raise the volume of the part that you
don’t hear.
Check the expression messages that are being transmitted by your
external MIDI device.
p. 32
Could the USB-MIDI Thru setting be ON?
If USB-MIDI Thru is on, MIDI messages received at MIDI IN will
be re-transmitted without change from USB OUT, so the sound
generator will not produce sound.
If you want to play the sound generator via the MIDI IN connector,
turn USB-MIDI Thru o.
p. 45
No sound from a specic
part
Could the volume level of the part have been lowered?
Adjust the Level to raise the volume of the part that you don’t
hear.
p. 32
Could the part be muted? Change the mute setting to “-”. p. 30
Could the Rx Switch of the part be turned o? Turn the Rx Switch on. p. 32
No sound from a specic
range of keys
Could a key range be set?
If you don’t hear sound from a specic range of keys, check the key
range settings.
p. 32
Can’t hear the audio signal
from the computer
Could the audio signal from the computer be at a dierent
sampling rate than the sampling rate of the INTEGRA-7 itself?
Change the Sampling Rate setting of the INTEGRA-7 so that it
matches the sampling rate of the audio signal.
p. 48
Sound is distorted
Could the [VOLUME] knob be set too high? If the overall sound is distorted, lower the [VOLUME] knob. p. 21
Could the Output Gain be raised excessively? In the “SOUND system settings, check the “Output Gain” setting. p. 48
Could the INPUT (front or rear) input signal be too high?
The PEAK indicator on the front panel will light if the input level
clips. Adjust the volume of the connected device to an appropriate
level so that the PEAK indicator does not light.
Pitch is wrong
Could the INTEGRA-7’s tuning be incorrect? In the “SOUND system settings, check the “Master Tune setting. p. 48
Could the pitch be wrong because of a pitch bend message
received from an external MIDI device?
Check the pitch bend messages that are being transmitted by your
external MIDI device.
Could the Coarse Tune or Fine Tune parameters be set? Check the Coarse Tune and Fine Tune settings. p. 33
Notes are broken o
Notes will be interrupted if more than 128 notes are sounded
simultaneously.
Reduce the number of layers in the Live Set youre using. Increase
the voice reserve setting for layers in which notes must not drop
out.
p. 32
Sound is still heard from
the opposite side as well
even when panned all the
way to one side
Could eects be applied?
Since the INTEGRA-7’s internal eects are stereo, applying an insert
eect will allow eect sound to be heard from the opposite side
even if the source sound is panned all the way to one side.
p. 36, p. 41
Could Motional Surround be turned on?
PAN will not work if Motional Surround is on. Turn MOTIONAL
SURROUND o.
p. 34
Notes played in a high
register sound funny
When you play high notes on the INTEGRA-7, you might hear
notes that fail to sound, whose pitch fails to rise, or a noise that
changes depending on the note you play (a warbling, chirping,
rustling, beeping, etc.)
This is usually because you have exceeded the highest note that
the INTEGRA-7 is able to produce, and won’t occur with the notes
you would normally use. This does not indicate a malfunction.
