.DESCRIPTION AND USES .
Rust-Oleum
®
Textured Metallic is designed to provide a fast-
drying, durable coating for customizing trunks, dashboards, tool
boxes, and more. Textured Metallic is suitable for use on
properly prepared automotive plastics, bare metal, aluminum,
fiberglass, primed surfaces or OEM painted surfaces. Textured
Metallic features an advanced spray system that allows you to
spray at any angle, even upside down for those hard to reach
areas. A comfort spray tip with a wider finger pad reduces fatigue
caused by continuous spraying.
Note: Items painted with Camouflage should not be immersed in
water for extended periods of time.

.PRODUCT APPLICATION .
PAINTING CONDITIONS
Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area such as an open
garage. Use when temperature is between 50-90°F (10-
32°C) and humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying.
Do not apply to surfaces that, when heated, exceed 200°F
(93°C) or galvanized metal. Avoid spraying in very windy
and dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect
from spray mist.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Plastic Surfaces Thoroughly wipe down the surface
with paint thinner to promote proper adhesion. Use of 249
323 Plastic Primer provides excellent adhesion. For aged
or weathered surfaces, remove loose material with a dry
brush, clean with soap and water, rinse and let dry. If
mildew is present, wash with a solution of bleach and
water, rinse and let dry.
Metal Surfaces - Wash the surface with a commercial
detergent, or other suitable cleaning method. Rinse with
fresh water and dry with a clean cloth. Remove loose paint
and rust with a wire brush or sandpaper. Lightly sand
glossy surfaces. Use of 7780830 Clean Metal Primer
provides added corrosion protection, enhances adhesion
and hiding, and is especially recommended for metal and
wood surfaces.
WARNING: If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may
release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD
DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN
DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN
SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved
respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a
HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, find out how to
protect yourself and your family by contacting the National Lead
Information Hotline at 1-800-424-LEAD or log on to
