GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. SCREWDRIVER SAFETY WARNINGS Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an operation where the fastener may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. ELECTRICAL DOUBLE INSULATION EXTENSION CORDS Double insulation is a concept in safety in electric power tools, which eliminates the need for the usual threewire grounded power cord. All exposed metal parts are isolated from the internal metal motor components with protecting insulation. Double insulated tools do not need to be grounded. When using a power tool at a considerable distance from a power source, be sure to use an extension cord that has the capacity to handle the current the tool will draw.

ASSEMBLY INSTALLING AND REPLACING BIT HOLDER AND BITS To install or replace bits: Install 1/4 in. screwdriver bits by inserting them into the magnetic bit holder. NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the adjustable nosepiece to install or remove bits. Replace 1/4 in. screwdriver bits by pulling them out of the magnetic bit holder. To remove the magnetic bit holder: Pull the adjusting sleeve. The adjusting sleeve and adjustable nosepiece come off the gear casing as a set.
OPERATION SETTING DEPTH See Figures 4 - 5, page 12. The adjustable nosepiece of the tool will automatically drive screws to preset depths. It may be helpful to begin each new job by driving several test screws in scrap material to check and adjust the depth setting. To make preset depth adjustments: Rotate the adjusting sleeve until you obtain the desired depth for the bit holder or screwdriver bit. Test drive a screw in scrap material to determine if it is correct.

CARACTÉRISTIQUES ÉLECTRIQUES DOUBLE ISOLATION CORDONS PROLONGATEURS La double isolation est un dispositif de sécurité utilisé sur les outils à moteur électriques, éliminant le besoin de cordon d’alimentation habituel à trois fils avec terre. ASSEMBLAGE INSTALLATION ET REMPLACEMENT DES PORTE EMBOUTS ET EMBOUTS Installation et remplacement des embouts : Pour installer un embout de 6,4 mm (1/4 po), il suffit de l’insérer dans le porte embout. NOTE : Il n’est pas nécessaire de retirer la tête réglable pour installer ou retirer les embouts. Pour remplacer un embout de 6,4 mm (1/4 po), il suffit de le retirer du porte embout magnéique. Retrait du porte-embout magnétique : Retirer le porte-embout magnétique.
UTILISATION RÉGLAGE DE PROFONDEUR Voir les figures 4 - 5, page 12. La tête réglable de l’outil permet d’enfoncer les vis à une profondeur prédéterminée. Il peut être utile de faire un essai ane enfonçant pluiseurs vis dans une chute afin de vérifier et régler la profondeur de vissage. Pour régler la profondeur de vissage : Tourner le manchon de réglage pour obtenir la profondeur voulue pour le porte-embout ou l’embout. Faire un essai dans une chute pour déterminer si le réglage est correct.

Los sujetadores que entren en contacto con un cable “con carga” pueden hacer que la electricidad se transmita a las piezas metálicas expuestas de la herramienta eléctrica y eso podría provocar una descarga eléctrica en el operador.

ASPECTOS ELÉCTRICOS DOBLE AISLAMIENTO CORDONES DE EXTENSIÓN El doble aislamiento es una característica de seguridad de las herramientas eléctricas, la cual elimina la necesidad de usar el típico cordón eléctrico de tres conductores con conexión a tierra. Todas las partes metálicas expuestas están aisladas de los componentes metálicos internos del motor por medio de aislamiento de protección. No es necesario conectar a tierra las herramientas con doble aislamiento.

ARMADO ADVERTENCIA: No conecte la unidad al suministro de corriente sin haber terminado de armarla. INSTALACIÓN Y CAMBIO DEL PORTAPUNTAS Y DE PUNTAS DE DESTORNILLADOR Para instalar o cambiar puntas de destornillador: Las puntas de 6,4 mm (1/4 pulg.) se instalan introduciéndolas en el portapuntas magnético.
FUNCIONAMIENTO PALANCA DE MARCHA ADELANTE /ATRÁS Vea la figura 3, página 11. El sentido de rotación de la punta de destornillador se controla con una palanca situada arriba del gatillo del interruptor. Teniendo el destornillador sostenido en la posición normal de trabajo, la palanca de sentido de rotación debe estar a la izquierda del interruptor para el giro a la derecha. El sentido de rotación está invertido cuando la palanca se encuentra a la derecha del interruptor.
