IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following: 1. Read all instructions. 2. Always use this appliance on a dry, level surface. 3. To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid. Do not place on a wet surface. 4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

Always use pot holders or oven mitts. 19.To avoid serious burns, do not place your hand on the Stainless Steel Cover or on the Cooking Plate while the appliance is in use or while the appliance is still hot, even when unplugged. 20.Lift the appliance by the bottom when not in use. HOW TO USE 1. Place the Bacon Maker on a dry and level surface and make sure the Drip Tray is securely in place. Plug the power cord into 120V AC wall outlet. 2. Turn the Cooking Dial to the PREHEAT setting. Slide Stainless Steel Cover over the Cooking Plate and let the unit preheat for 5 minutes. Once the unit is preheated, the Bacon Maker will chime once and the unit will turn off. 3. Remove the Stainless Steel Cover by the Handle and set aside on a heat resistant surface. 4.
CARE AND CLEANING 1. Discard the fat from the drip trip. 2. Wash the Stainless Steel Cover and the Drip Tray in warm soapy water or place in the dishwasher. Rinse and dry. 3. Clean the Cooking Plate with warm soapy water using a damp cloth. IMPORTANT NOTES: DO NOT IMMERSE THE BASE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID DO NOT use abrasive cleansers on any part of the unit. 4. All servicing, other than cleaning, should be performed by an authorized service representative. See Warranty section.
A short supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards of becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounded 3-wire cord.
