Audio CD (CD-DA) • This player can play back CD-DA format audio CD-RW/-R discs. • The player may not be able to play some CD-RW/-R discs due to the condition of the recording. CD-RW/-R • Use a 700MB (80 minute) CD-RW/-R disc. If possible, do not use a 800MB (90 minute) or above disc, as the disc may not play back. • If the CD-RW/-R disc was not recorded as a closed session, you may experience delays when playing back the beginning of the disc or all recorded files may not play.
Getting Started Region Code Both the player and the discs are coded by region. These regional codes must match in order to play the disc. If the codes do not match, the disc will not play. The Region Number for this player is displayed on the rear panel of the player. Connections Connecting to the Network This player lets you view network based services (See pages 55~63) such as Internet@TV and BD-LIVE, as well as receive software upgrades if you've connected the player to your network. We recommend using an AP (Access Point) or IP router for the connection. Dynamic Range Control You can listen at low volumes but still hear dialog clearly. This is only active when the player detects a Dolby Digital signal. • Auto : The Dynamic Range Control is set automatically based on the information provided by the Dolby TrueHD Soundtrack. • On : When Movie soundtracks are played at low volume or from smaller speakers, the system can apply appropriate compression to make low-level content more intelligible and prevent dramatic passages from getting too loud.
Setup System Initial Settings By adjusting the Initial Settings, you can set language, TV aspect ratio, and Network Settings, etc. For more information on the settings, refer to the corresponding section in this user manual. The Software Upgrade menu allows you to upgrade software for performance improvements or additional services. You can check the current software version, upgrade using internet, and set the Auto upgrade notification. If the player is properly connected to the network by cable or wirelessly, the player automatically connects to Samsung’s website each time it is turned on and download update files if any valid updates exists.

Network Services Reset Resets Internet@TV to the factory default settings, removes all downloaded applications and services, erases all user settings, and then automatically begins the start-up procedure. ✎ NOTE ▪ If you forgot your password, press the STOP ( ) button on the front panel of the product for more than 5 seconds with no disc inserted. Don’t use this unless absolutely necessary. Works the same as Reset.

On the Service Manager screen, use the ▲▼ buttons to select an application or service. 3. Use the ◄► buttons to select Lock/Unlock, and then press the ENTER button.

They may need replacing. • Operate the remote control at a distance of no more than 20 feet. • Remove batteries and hold down one or more buttons for several minutes to drain the microprocessor inside the remote control to reset it.
