F/W Upgrade Method by USB Flash Drive

Preparation :

1. Download the latest firmware file from www.samsung.com

2. Extract the firmware file into the root folder of your USB Flash Drive

3. After you extract it, you can see *.RUF file in the root folder of your USB Flash Drive

4. If there are older versions of firmware file in the root folder of your USB Flash Drive,

delete them.

Warning :

The following events may interrupt the upgrade process and

MAY RESULT IN PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE UNIT.

1. Unplugging the power cord.

2. Power Outage.

How to Upgrade the BD-Player :

1. Power on the BD-Player and wait until Home Menu appear

2. Plug in USB Flash Drive into BD-Player, select “Yes” when pop-up “Connecting to

portable device” appears.

3. Enter menu Settings > Support > Software Upgrade > By USB.

4. Player will search for newer firmware file on your USB Flash Drive automatically.

5. Select “Yes” when popup asking for upgrade confirmation appears.

6. Upgrade process is started. Please do not do these below actions while upgrade

process take place as they can cause PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE UNIT :

a. Unplugging the power cord

b. Unplugging USB Flash Drive

c. Turning off power

7. After upgrade process completed successfully, your player will be restarted or shut

down automatically depends on its initial software release version.

8. You may unplugged USB Flash Drive after upgrade process completed successfully.
