Charging the headset This headset has a rechargeable internal battery which is non-removable. Ensure that you fully charge the battery before using the headset for the first time. 1 Connect the travel adapter to the headset (see below image). 2 Plug the travel adapter in to the wall outlet. During charging, the indicator light will turn red. If charging does not begin, unplug the travel adapter and plug it in again. 3 When the headset is fully charged, the indicator light changes to blue.
English •• Use only Samsung-approved chargers. Unauthorized chargers may cause an explosion or damage to the headset. •• The battery will gradually wear out while charging or discharging because it is a consumable part. •• When a call comes in while charging, disconnect your headset from the charger and answer the call. When the battery charge gets low The headset beeps and the indicator light flashes red. Recharge the battery.
Wearing the headset Place the headset on your ear. Depending on which ear you are going to wear the headset, simply adjust the ear hook accordingly. Left Right Handle the headset properly to improve performance •• Do not block the device’s internal antenna. The human body can interfere with a Bluetooth signal. •• If you usually use your mobile phone with your right hand, wear the headset on your right ear.
English Using your headset This section explains how to turn the headset on, pair and connect to the phone, and use various functions. •• Activated functions and features may differ depending on the phone type. •• Some devices, especially those that are not tested or approved by Bluetooth SIG, may be incompatible with your headset. Turning the headset on or off •• To turn the headset on, press and hold the power button. The blue indicator light flashes 4 times.
Pairing and connecting the headset Pairing will create a unique and encrypted wireless link between two Bluetooth enabled devices, such as a Bluetooth phone and a Bluetooth headset. To use the headset with other Bluetooth phones, the devices must be paired. When trying to pair the two devices, keep the headset and the phone reasonably close together. After pairing, the two devices will connect automatically when switched on. Pairing and connecting the headset with a phone 1 Enter pairing mode.
English Your headset supports the Simple Pairing feature which allows the headset to be paired with a phone without requesting a PIN. This feature is available for phones that are compliant with Bluetooth version 2.1 or higher. The headset also can be paired via the Active pairing feature, see page 13. Connecting with two Bluetooth phones With the Multi-point feature activated, your headset can be connected with two Bluetooth phones at the same time.
When the headset connects to two Bluetooth phones, some phones may not connect to the headset as the second Bluetooth phone. Disconnecting the headset To disconnect the headset from your phone, •• Turn off the headset. •• Use the Bluetooth menu on your phone. Reconnecting the headset When the headset is already paired with phones, it will attempt to automatically reconnect each time you turn it on. If the headset does not automatically attempt to reconnect, •• Press the Talk button.
English Pairing via the Active pairing feature With the Active pairing feature, your headset can automatically search for a Bluetooth phone and try to make a connection with it. This feature is available for mobile phones, but the phone’s Bluetooth visibility option must be set to on. 1 Turn on the headset. 2 Press and hold the Talk button to enter Pairing mode. 3 Press and hold the Talk button until the violet indicator light turns on.
Using call functions •• Available call functions may vary by the phone. •• *This function is available only on the Hands-Free profile. For more information, see your phone’s user manual. Making a call Redialing the lastest number Press and hold the Talk button to redial the latest number of the most recently connected phone. Press the Talk button twice to redial the latest number of the other phone. For some phones, pressing the Talk button opens the call log list.
English Ending a call Press the Talk button to end a call. Rejecting a call* Press and hold the Talk button to reject a call when a call comes in. When two calls from the two connected phones come in, you can reject the call of the first phone. Using options during a call You can use the following functions during a call. Adjusting the volume Press the Volume up or down button to adjust the volume. You can hear a beep when the volume level of the headset reaches it’s lowest or highest leve.
Placing a call on hold* Press and hold the Talk button to place the current call on hold. When the headset is connected with two phones, this function is not available. Answering a second call* •• Press the Talk button to end the first call and answer a second call of the same phone when you hear call waiting tones. •• Press and hold the Talk button to place the first call on hold and answer a second call of the same phone when you hear call waiting tones.
English Appendix Frequently asked questions Will my headset work with laptops, PCs, and PDAs? Your headset will work with devices that support your headset’s Bluetooth version and profiles. For specifications, see page 22. Why do I hear static or interference while on a call? Appliances such as cordless phones and wireless networking equipment may cause interference, which usually sounds like static. To reduce any interference, keep the headset away from other devices that use or produce radio waves.
Can other Bluetooth phone users hear my conversation? When you pair your headset to your Bluetooth phone, you are creating a private link between only these two Bluetooth devices. The wireless Bluetooth technology used in your headset is not easily monitored by third parties because Bluetooth wireless signals are significantly lower in radio frequency power than those produced by a typical mobile phone.

Chargement de l’oreillette Cette oreillette est dotée d’une pile interne rechargeable qui ne peut être retirée. Veuillez vous assurer de charger la pile à sa pleine capacité avant d’utiliser l’oreillette pour la première fois. 1 Connecter l’adaptateur de voyage à l’oreillette (voir l’image ci-dessous). 2 Brancher l’adaptateur de voyage dans la prise murale. Le témoin lumineux deviendra rouge pendant le chargement. Si l’oreillette ne se recharge pas, débrancher l’adaptateur et le rebrancher.
Lorsque la charge de la pile devient faible L’oreillette émet un signal d’avertissement et le témoin lumineux clignote en rouge. Recharger la pile. Si la pile de l’oreillette n’a plus de charge pendant un appel, celui-ci sera automatiquement transféré vers le téléphone. Vérification du niveau de charge de la pile Appuyer simultanément sur la touche de diminution du volume et la touche de conversation, et les maintenir enfoncées.
Port de l’oreillette Placer l’oreillette sur votre oreille. Régler simplement le crochet auriculaire en fonction de l’oreille sur laquelle vous porterez l’oreillette. Gauche Droite Manipuler l’oreillette correctement pour en améliorer le rendement •• Éviter d’obstruer l’antenne interne de l’appareil. Le corps humain peut créer de l’interférence avec un signal Bluetooth. •• Si vous utilisez habituellement votre téléphone cellulaire de la main droite, porter l’oreillette sur l’oreille droite.
Utilisation de l’oreillette Cette section vous explique comment mettre l’oreillette en marche, la synchroniser avec le téléphone, l’y connecter et utiliser ses diverses fonctions. Mise en marche et fermeture de l’oreillette •• Pour mettre l’oreillette en marche, appuyer sur la touche marche/arrêt et la maintenir enfoncée. Le témoin lumineux bleu clignotera 4 fois. •• Pour fermer l’oreillette, appuyer sur la touche marche/arrêt et la maintenir enfoncée. Le témoin lumineux rouge clignotera, puis s’éteindra.
Synchronisation et connexion de l’oreillette La synchronisation créera un lien sans fil unique et crypté entre deux appareils compatibles avec la technologie Bluetooth comme un téléphone Bluetooth et une oreillette Bluetooth. Pour utiliser l’oreillette avec des téléphones Bluetooth, les appareils doivent être synchronisés. Lorsque vous essayez de synchroniser les deux appareils, veuillez maintenir l’oreillette et le téléphone à une proximité raisonnable l’un de l’autre.
4 Entrer le NIP Bluetooth (0000, 4 zéros) pour effectuer la synchronisation et connecter l’oreillette au téléphone. Français L’oreillette est compatible avec la fonction de synchronisation simple qui permet de synchroniser l’oreillette avec un téléphone sans qu’un NIP soit demandé. Cette fonction est offerte pour les téléphones qui sont conformes à la version 2.1 de Bluetooth ou à une version plus récente.
5 Entrer le NIP Bluetooth (0000, 4 zéros) pour connecter l’oreillette au téléphone. 6 Fermer l’oreillette, puis la remettre en marche. Une fois l’oreillette en marche, elle se connecte automatiquement aux deux téléphones Bluetooth. Pour la connexion de l’oreillette à deux téléphones Bluetooth, il est possible que certains téléphones ne puissent pas être connectés en tant que deuxièmes téléphones Bluetooth. Déconnexion de l’oreillette Pour déconnecter l’oreillette du téléphone : •• Fermer l’oreillette.
Synchronisation au moyen de la fonction de synchronisation active Français Grâce à la fonction de synchronisation active, l’oreillette peut chercher automatiquement un téléphone Bluetooth et tenter de s’y connecter. Cette fonction est offerte pour les téléphones cellulaires, mais l’option de visibilité Bluetooth du téléphone concerné doit être activée. 1 Mettre l’oreillette en marche. 2 Appuyer sur la touche de conversation et la maintenir enfoncée pour entrer en mode de synchronisation.
•• Le téléphone Bluetooth auquel vous désirez vous connecter ne doit pas être synchronisé avec d’autres appareils. Si le téléphone est déjà connecté à un autre appareil, mettre fin à la connexion et redémarrer la fonction de synchronisation active. Utilisation des fonctions d'appel •• Les fonctions d’appel offertes peuvent varier selon le téléphone. •• *Cette fonction est offerte uniquement dans le profil mains libres.
Composition vocale d’un numéro Appuyer sur la touche de conversation et dire un nom. Vous pouvez composer un numéro du premier téléphone. Répondre à un appel Lorsque des appels entrent sur les deux téléphones, vous pouvez répondre à l’appel du premier téléphone. Mettre fin à un appel Appuyer sur la touche de conversation pour mettre fin à un appel. Rejeter un appel* Appuyer sur la touche de conversation et la maintenir enfoncée pour rejeter un appel entrant.
Réglage du volume Appuyer sur la touche d’augmentation ou de diminution du volume pour régler le volume. Vous entendrez un signal sonore lorsque le volume de l’oreillette aura atteint le niveau le plus bas ou le plus élevé. Désactivation du microphone Appuyer sur la touche d’augmentation ou de diminution du volume et la maintenir enfoncée pour désactiver le microphone de façon à empêcher votre interlocuteur de vous entendre.
Prise d’un deuxième appel* •• Appuyer sur la touche de conversation pour mettre fin au premier appel et répondre à un deuxième appel sur le même téléphone lorsque vous entendez la tonalité d’appel en attente. •• Pour passer de l’appel en cours à l’appel en attente, appuyer sur la touche de conversation et la maintenir enfoncée. Lorsque l’oreillette est connectée à deux téléphones, vous ne pouvez pas répondre à un deuxième appel sur un même téléphone.
Annexe Foire aux questions Mon oreillette est-elle compatible avec les ordinateurs portables, les ordinateurs personnels et les assistants numériques? Lorsque vous synchronisez votre oreillette et votre téléphone Bluetooth, vous créez une connexion privée entre ces deux appareils Bluetooth.
