DVD+RW Disc Playback and Recording • With DVD+RW discs, there is no difference between DVD-Video format(Video mode) and DVD-Video Recording format (VR mode). • Finalising is generally unnecessary when using a DVD+RW disc. DVD-RAM Disc Playback and Recording For cartridge type DVD-RAM discs, remove the cartridge and use the disc only. You cannot play a DVD-RAM in most DVD players due to compatibility issues. getting started HOW TO USE THE DVD RECORDER & VCR Step 1 : Select the disc type Please check available disc type before recording. • DVD-VR370 (DVD+RW/DVD+R discs can be played, but cannot be recorded.) • DVD-VR375 If you want to repeatedly record on the same disc or you want to edit the disc after recording, select a rewritable DVD-RAM or DVD±RW type disc. If you want to save a recording without any changes, choose a non-rewritable DVD±R.
Step 3 : Recording There are two different recording methods, Direct Recording (recording a programme you are currently watching) and Timer Recording. Timer recording is classified as follows : Recording mode : HQ (high quality mode), HSP, SP (standard quality mode), LSP, ESP, LP, EP, SLP (Long duration mode) according to the recording mode. When recording is set in the AUTO mode, the best quality picture is recorded with regards to the remaining time on the disc.

If Progressive Scan is supported, follow the TV User’s instructions regarding Progressive Scan settings in the TV’s menu system. Depending on your TV, the method of connection may differ from the illustration above. What is “Progressive Scan”? Progressive scan has twice as many scanning lines as the interlace output method has. Progressive scanning method can provide better and clearer picture quality.

Turn on the DVD Recorder & VCR and TV.
AV RECEIVER CONNECTIONS To take full advantage of the movie theatre experience that DVD offers, you may want to connect your DVD Recorder & VCR to a complete Surround Sound system, including an A/V Receiver and six Surround Sound speakers. If your A/V receiver is equipped with a Dolby Digital Decoder, you have the option to bypass the DVD Recorder & VCR’s built-in Dolby Digital Decoder. Use the Digital Audio Out connection below. To enjoy Dolby digital or DTS sound, you must set up the audio settings.

U kunt maximaal 99 titels opslaan op een DVD-RAM/-RW/-R-schijf en maximaal 49 titels op een DVD+RW/+R-schijf. Als de stroomtoevoer wegens een stroomstoring of een andere oorzaak wordtonderbroken, wordt de titel die wordtopgenomen, niet op de schijf opgeslagen.
EEN OTR (ONE TOUCH RECORDING) MAKEN Met OTR (One-Touch Recording, opnemen met één druk op de knop) kunt u opnametijd in stappen van een vooraf ingesteld aantal minuten en met een maximale duur van 8 uur instellen door herhaaldelijk op de knop REC te drukken.
