Getting started Folded Cover screen • Fold the device before putting it in a bag or storing it. Do not store the device unfolded as another object could scratch or puncture the screen. • When using a wireless charger or NFC, fold the device and place the center of the device's back on the center of the wireless charger or NFC tag. • Do not fold the device toward the back side. The device will be damaged.

Getting started • Covering the antennas (located on the back of the phone, at the top and bottom) with your hand may affect the performance of features such as calling, mobile data connection, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi. • Do not press the screen or the front camera with a hard or sharp object, such as a pen or your fingernail, or apply excessive pressure. Doing so could result in scratching or puncturing the screen. • Do not attach adhesives such as films or stickers to the main screen.
Getting started Set up your device Charge the battery | Wireless PowerShare Your device uses a nano-SIM card. A SIM card may be preinstalled, or you may be able to use your previous SIM card. Contact your carrier for more details. Install SIM card Place the SIM card into the tray with the gold contacts facing down. Charge your device Before turning on your device, charge it fully. NOTE Use only charging devices and batteries (if applicable) that are approved by Samsung.
Getting started Charge the battery Your device is powered by a rechargeable battery. A charger (charging head and USB Type-C cable) is included with the device for charging the battery from a power outlet. TIP While charging, the device and the charger may become hot and stop charging. This usually does not affect the device’s lifespan or performance and is in the device’s normal range of operation. Disconnect the charger from the device and wait for the device to cool down.
Getting started Wireless PowerShare Wirelessly charge your compatible Samsung devices using your phone. Some features are not available while sharing power. 1. From Quick Settings, tap 0 Wireless PowerShare to enable this feature. 2. With the phone face down, place the compatible device on the back of the phone to charge. A notification sound or vibration occurs when charging begins. NOTE Wireless PowerShare works with most Qi-Certified devices. Requires minimum 30% battery to share.

Getting started Transfer data from an old device Use Smart Switch™ to transfer contacts, photos, music, videos, messages, notes, calendars, and more from your old device. Turn off to increase security and make it harder to unlock using an image or video of your likeness. • Require open eyes: Facial recognition will only recognize your face when your eyes are open.

From Camera, set up your shot with the following features: • Tap the screen where you want the camera to focus. – When you tap the screen, a brightness scale appears. Drag the circle to adjust the brightness. • To quickly switch between the front and rear cameras, swipe the screen up or down. • To change to a different shooting mode, swipe the screen right or left.
Camera and Gallery – Super slow-mo: Record videos at an extremely high frame rate for viewing in high quality slow motion. You can play a specific section of each video in slow motion after recording it. – Slow motion: Record videos at a high frame rate for viewing in slow motion. – Hyperlapse: Create a time lapse video by recording at various frame rates. The frame rate is adjusted depending on the scene being recorded and the movement of the device.

NOTE The Scene optimizer is only available when using the rear camera. The Scene optimizer icon will change automatically based on what the camera detects, such as when taking photos in a when taking nature photos or dark setting.

Settings Access Settings There are a couple of ways to access your device settings. Drag down the Status bar, and then tap From Apps, tap Settings. Settings. Search for Settings If you are not sure exactly where to find a certain setting, you can search for it. 1. From Settings, tap Search, and enter keywords. 2. Tap an entry to go to that setting. Connections Manage connections between your device and a variety of networks and other devices.
Settings Manually connect to a Wi-Fi network If the Wi-Fi network you want is not listed after a scan, you can still connect to it by entering the information manually. Ask the Wi-Fi network administrator for the name and password before you begin. 1. From Settings, tap Connections > Wi-Fi, and then tap 0 2. Tap Add network at the bottom of the list. 3. Enter information about the Wi-Fi network: to turn on Wi-Fi. + • Network name: Type the exact name of the network.
