Symptom Explanation/Solution
There is a time difference between
the point where you press Recording
start/stop button and the point where
the recorded movie starts/stops.
• On your camcorder, there may be a slight time delay between the point
when you press Recording start/stop button and the actual point where the
recorded movie starts/stops. This is not an error.
The aspect ratio (16:9/4:3) of a movie
cannot be changed.
• The aspect ratio of a movie at 16:9 cannot be changed to 4:3.
The available recording time or the
number of recordable images displayed
does not decrease.
• The maximum available recording time displayed is 999 minutes and the
maximum number of recordable images displayed is 99,999 even though
the actual count exceeds the value displayed. However, the actual available
recording time is not affected by the count displayed.
For example, when the actual available recording time is “1,066” minutes,
“999” will be displayed on the screen.

Memory card functions are not
operable.
• Insert a memory card into your camcorder properly.


• If you use a memory card formatted on a computer, format it again directly
on your camcorder.


Image cannot be moved or deleted.
• Release the lock on the write-protect tab of the memory card (SDHC/SD
memory card), if any.


• You cannot move or delete the protected images. Release the protection of
the image on the device.

• The memory card is not supported on your camcorder or card has some
problems.
The data file name is not indicated

• The file may be corrupted.

• Only the file name is displayed if the directory structure complies with the
international standard.
