INSERTING / EJECTING THE MEMORY CARD
Inserting a memory card
Ejecting a memory card
1. Turn the camcorder off.
2. Slide and open the battery/memory card
cover as shown in the diagram.
3. Insert the memory card into the memory
card slot until it softly clicks in the direction
of the arrow shown in the diagram.
4. Close the cover.

cover as shown in the diagram.
3. Slightly push the memory card inwards to
pop it out.
4. Pull the memory card out of the memory
card slot and close the cover.
As shown in the diagram, be sure to insert the memory card with the label facing right.
Do not format the memory card on a PC.
Do not eject a memory card during operations such as recording, playback, formatting, deleting,
and editing. Doing so may damage the storage media or data.
Be careful not to push the memory card too hard. The memory card may suddenly pop out.
If this is a new memory card, a card formatted by another device, or a card containing data stored
by another device, format the card.

Formatting erases all data on the memory card.

Your camcorder supports only SD (Secure Digital) and SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) cards.
The compatibility with the camcorder may vary depending on manufacturers and types of the memory
cards.
