Check with a qualified electrician or serviceperson if you are not sure about the grounding. Do not modify the provided plug.
Installation Installation Flooring Alcove or closet installation For best performance, the washing machine must be installed on a solid floor. Wood floors may need to be reinforced to minimize vibration and/or unbalanced loads. Carpeting and soft tile surfaces are not a good resistance to vibrations and may cause the washing machine to move slightly during the spin cycle. Minimum clearance for stable operation: CAUTION Do NOT install the washing machine on a platform or a poorly supported structure.
Step-by-step installation STEP 1 Select a location Installation Location requirements: • Solid, level surface without carpeting or flooring that may obstruct ventilation • Away from direct sunlight • Adequate room for ventilation and wiring • The ambient temperature is always higher than the freezing point (0 ˚C) • Away from a heat source STEP 2 Remove the shipping bolts Unpack the product package and remove all shipping bolts. 1.

• • • To prevent the compartment from clogging, concentrated or highly-enriched agents (fabric softener or detergent) must be diluted with water before being applied. Do not carry any removed compartment. Put the compartment back in place. Otherwise, the compartment may shake and cause the content to spill out. Before moving the washing machine, make sure to empty the detergent drawer that might contain detergent and/or fabric softener. The content in the drawer may spill out on the floor.
Before you start CAUTION • • • • Before you start • • • • • • • • • • Do not apply detergent to the drawer without the detergent and softener compartment. If you do, clean the drawer and then reinsert both compartments. For more information on cleaning, see page <51>. Use only liquid detergent and fabric softener with the auto dispenser.
