INSTALLATION OF MEDALLIONS
Tools and equipment required for the job:
✓ Humidifier or dehumidifier (optional).
✓ Installation template included in the shipment.
✓ Tape measure, rulers and removable marker.
✓ Small finishing nails or a double-sided mounting tape.
✓ Plunge router with a pattern router bit with a top bearing.
✓ Nail set.
✓ Pry bar.
✓ Corner chisel and hand scraper (optional).
✓ Dry vacuum cleaner.
✓ One or several strips of thin fabric or tape.
✓ Wood floor adhesive and a trowel.
✓ Wood filler of matching color(s) and a patty knife.
1. Position the inlay by taking into consideration the walls, vents,
openings and furniture. Inlays should be installed after the
floor is laid to ensure a proper fit into the floor. Installation can
be started by placing the inlay on the floor and marking the
outline with a pencil or removable marker. Use a stud finder or
a magnet to find any fasteners along the outline and mark
them. Use caution while routing over nails. Pay attention to
small pieces of the floor that may be on the edge of the cutout
area.
