Q(V) Volt-VAr Function
When the Q(V) Volt-VAr function is enabled, the Conext XW Pro is in Grid Support mode.
Reactive power output is actively control as a function of the voltage following the Volt-
Var piecewise linear characteristic in the figure below.
n The Conext XW Pro dynamically injects reactive power into the grid following the
P1P2 segment when AC voltage trends lower than the nominal value.
n The Conext XW Pro dynamically absorbs reactive power from the utility grid following
the P5P6 segment when AC voltage trends higher than the nominal value.
n By generating or consuming reactive power in response to grid voltage
fluctuations,Conext XW Pro contributes to grid stabilization towards the nominal
voltage.
The Q(V) function is enabled by default.
