ChangingResistanceLevels
PushtheIncreaseorDecreasebuttonstochangetheresistancelevelatanytimeinaworkoutprogram.
FitnessTest
TheFitnessTestmeasurestheimprovementsofyourphysicalfitnesslevel.Thetestcomparesyourpoweroutput(inWatts)toyour
heartrate.Asyoubecomemorefityouwillproducemorepower(Watts)atagivenheartrate.
Whentheteststarts,thepower(Watts)slowlyincreases.Thismeansyouwillworkharder,andasaresult,yourheartrate
increases.TheWattscontinuetoincreaseautomaticallyuntilyourheartratereachesthe“TestZone.”Thiszoneisindividually
computedtobenear75percentofyourmaximumheartrate.WhenyoureachtheTestZoneyourmachineholdstheWattssteady
for3minutes.Thisletsyoureachastablecondition(whereyourheartratebecomessteady).Attheendofthe3minutes,the
Consolemeasuresyourheartrateandthepoweroutput(Watts).Thesenumbers,alongwithinformationaboutyourageand
weight,arecomputedtoproducea“FitnessScore”.
Note:FitnessTestscoresshouldonlybecomparedtoyourpreviousscoresandnototherusers.
Overtime,youwilloutputmoreWattsofpoweratacertainHeartRate.CompareyourFitnessScorestoseeyourimprovement.
HeartRateControl(HRC)Program
TheHeartRateControl(HRC)programletsyousetaheartrategoalforyourworkout.Theprogrammonitorsyourheartrateinbeats
perminute(BPM)fromtheContactHeartRate(CHR)sensorsonthemachineorfromaHeartRateMonitor(HRM)cheststrap.
Note:
TheconsolemustbeabletoreadtheheartrateinformationfromtheCHRsensorsorHRMfortheHRC
programtoworkcorrectly.
IfyougototheHRCprogramfromyourUserprofile,theTargetHeartRateprogramusesyourageandotherusersetupinformation
tosettheHeartRateZonevaluesforyourworkout.IfyouareaGuestUser,youmustenteryourageandweight.Theconsole
displaythengivespromptsforyoutosetupyourworkout:
1.Settheworkoutlevel:FIT(beginner)orGETTINGFIT(advanced).
2.Setthepercentageofmaximumheartrate:60–70%,70–80%,80–90%.
Consultaphysicianbeforeyoustarttoexerciseinthe80–90%heartratezone.
3.SettheTimefortheworkout.(Thedefaultvalueis10:00.)
