8.3 TURNING WHITE / UV FLASHLIGHT
ON / OFF
When pressing the ashlight button adjacent to power on / o button, the lights on the
rear of the VJ-4 video borescope switch between a white light ashlight, a UV ashlight
and turning o the ashlight. NOTE: e UV has a center wavelength of 365nm and lumi-
nous power of 50mW.
8.4 INSERTING THE INSERTION TUBE
INTO MACHINERY OR EQUIPMENT
Inserting the insertion tube:
Make sure the insertion tube and bending section are straight before starting the
inspection.
DO NOT attempt to articulate the bending section with the joystick while
the insertion tube is coiled, as this will result in breakage of the articula-
tion control wires.
• Aer the insertion tube enters the inspection port, adjust the brightness as necessary
and use the LCD monitor to see the internal view.
• Manipulate the joystick as needed in order to steer the insertion tube and camera / LED
module to the inspection target.
