5. Aftercopyingthefiles,unmounttheremovabledisk(thatis,theconnectedphone)asrequired
byyourcomputer’soperatingsystemtosafelyremoveyourphone,andtouchTurn off USB
storage.
6. Disconnectthephonefromthecomputer.
Transfer Files Between Your Phone and a
Computer
YoucanusethesuppliedUSBconnectortoconnectyourphonedirectlytoyourcomputerand
transfermusic,pictures,andothercontentfiles.Forexample,ifyouhaveamusicalbumstoredon
yourcomputerthatyouwanttolistentoonyourtabletwiththemusicplayer,GooglePlayMusic,or
anyotherapp,justattachyourphonetothecomputerandcopythefilestothemusicfolder.
1. ConnectyourphonetoyourcomputerusingthesuppliedmicroUSBcable.
l Insertthesmallerendofthecabletothecharger/accessoryjackatthebottomofthephone.
l InserttheUSBendofthecableintoanavailableUSBportonyourcomputer.Youmay
needtoremovetheUSBcablefromthechargerbodytoaccessit.

When appearsinthenotificationsarea,dragthestatusbardowntodisplaythenotifications
window.
3. YouwillseeeitherConnected as a media deviceorConnected as a camera.
l Formosttransfers,you’llwanttouseConnected as a media device.
l Tochangetheoption,touchitinthenotificationswindowtoopentheSettings>USB
connectionwindow,andthentouchthedesiredoption.
l IfyouseeConnected as an installerinthenotificationswindow,touchConnected as an
installer,andthenConnected as a media deviceorConnected as a camera.
4. Onyourcomputer,navigatetothedetecteddevice(suchasthroughtheMyComputermenu)
andopenit.
5. Ifavailable,selectadrive(cardformicroSDcard,phoneforinternalphonestorage).
6. Selectafolder(forexample,Musicforsongsandalbums)andcopyfilestoitfromyour
computer.
7. Whenyouaredone,disconnectyourphonefromyourcomputer.
Update Your Phone
Fromtimetotime,updatesmaybecomeavailableforyourphone.Youcandownloadandapply
updatesthroughtheSettings>System updatesmenu.
