TECHNICAL TRAINING
Sharp offer a wealth of training courses that are available to our authorised resellers. The courses are open to
both technical and sales based staff and cover Hardware, Connectivity, Sharp developed and 3
rd
party Solutions
and Sales training. All training is currently provided free of charge except where a reseller delegate attends a
technical biased solution course but where the reseller does not then purchase the solution itself from Sharp. In
this scenario there is a cost per day per delegate. The cost for this is £200 per day per delegate and the part
code for this is “L80SOLTRAIN1”. The other scenario that can incur a charge would be where a delegate is
booked on to a technically biased course and where this booking is then cancelled giving less than 5 working
days’ notice, or the delegate simply does not turn up, in this scenario a charge of £200 per day will be incurred.
Our technical based courses are scheduled on a three monthly basis covering Jan-March, April-June, July-
September and October-December. The schedule of courses is available via the “News” section of Sharp
Academy www.sharpacademy.eu
. When a new schedule is available it will be e-mailed to all Sharp Academy
users and also sent via Mail-chimp. Places are booked by completing the “Technical training course booking
form” on the Sharp Technical portal

To attend technical biased product hardware courses (mono and colour) delegates must pass the Basic Copier
online test which is also found within the landing page of the Sharp Academy. They must also complete the
relevant Academy module for the course in question and take and pass the exam at the end of the module with a
pass mark of 70%. Any delegate arriving on course without completing and passing the exam will be sent home
and a charge of £200 levied for each day of the course.
All technical biased courses include an end of course test with Certificates being issued to attendees that pass.
Hard copies of service documentation are no longer provided on any training course and all documentation can
be downloaded from the Sharp technical website.
Delegates attending any instructor led course will be expected to be wearing business attire and behave in a
professional manner. The instructor has the right to eject any delegate that does not comply with Sharp
standards, and in this case the dealer will be charged as non-attendance.
