SCANNER/INTERNET FAX►BEFORE USING THE MACHINE AS A NETWORK SCANNER
OCR (On the MX-M2651/MX-M3051/MX-M3551/MX-M4051/MX-M5051/MX-M6051, the OCR expansion kit is required.)
When the file format is PDF, characters in a scanned image are recognized and added to the PDF as text information.
OCR Setting
(On the MX-M2651/MX-M3051/MX-M3551/MX-M4051/MX-M5051/MX-M6051, the OCR expansion kit is
required.
Configure the settings that are required for OCR.
Easy Scan Settings
Set the default colour mode for Easy Scan.
Set [Colour] for when the Colour Start key is tapped, and [Black & White] for when the B/W Start key is tapped.
Resolution Setting
The following settings are available for the default resolutions of common scan, E-mail, Internet fax, and fax mode.
Scanner Common
100 X 100 dpi, 150 X 150 dpi, 200 X 200 dpi,
300 X 300 dpi, 400 X 400 dpi, 600 X 600 dpi
E-mail
100 X 100 dpi, 150 X 150 dpi, 200 X 200 dpi,
300 X 300 dpi, 400 X 400 dpi, 600 X 600 dpi
PDF Skew Adjustment
This setting can be enabled to use PDF Skew Adjustment function.
Encrypt/Compact PDF When using the MX-M3071/MX-M3071S/MX-M3571/MX-M3571S/MX-M4071/MX-M4071S/
MX-M5071/MX-M5071S/MX-M6071/MX-M6071S, or the MX-M2651/MX-M3051/MX-M3551/
MX-M4051/MX-M5051/MX-M6051 with the Enhanced compression kit installed, this item can
be displayed. When [Black & White] is selected, the format is [Encrypt PDF].
