Check it for microwave cooking principles, techniques, hints and recipes. INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT UTENSILS AND COVERINGS The following coverings are ideal: It is not necessary to buy all new cookware. Many pieces already in your kitchen can be used successfully in your new microwave oven. Make sure the utensil does not touch the interior walls during cooking. • Paper towels are good for covering foods for reheating and absorbing fat while cooking bacon. • Wax paper can be used for cooking and reheating.

INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MICROWAVE COOKING • Rearrange foods such as meatballs halfway through cooking both from top to bottom and from the center of the dish to the outside. • Arrange food carefully. Place thickest areas towards outside of dish. • Watch cooking time. Cook for the shortest amount of time indicated and add more as needed. Food severely overcooked can smoke or ignite. • Add standing time. Remove food from oven and stir, if possible.

B E F O R E O P E R AT I N G M A N U A L O P E R AT I O N • Before operating your new microwave oven make sure you read and understand this operation manual completely. • Before the oven can be used, follow these procedures: 1. Plug in the oven. Close the door. The oven display will then begin flashing 88:88 . 2. Touch STOP/CLEAR pad. : will appear. 3. Touch CLOCK pad to set clock. TIME COOKING Your oven can be programmed for 99 minutes 99 seconds (99.99).

S P E C I A L F E AT U R E S DEFROST Defrost automatically defrost ground meat, steaks, chops, fish and poultry. • Suppose you want to defrost a 2.0 lb steak. PROCEDURE 1 Touch DEFROST pad. 2 Select desired food by touching number pad. (Ex. Touch 2 for steak/chops.) 3 Enter weight by touching the number pads 2 and 0 . (Ex. 2.0 lbs steak) 4 Touch START pad. 2 2 After the 2nd stage, open the door. Shield any warm portions. Close the door. Touch START pad.

SPECIAL FEATURES MANUAL DEFROST POPCORN If the food that you wish to defrost is not listed on the DEFROST CHART or is above or below the limits in the “Amount” column on the DEFROST CHART, you need to defrost manually. You can defrost any frozen food, either raw or previously cooked, by using 30% power level. See page 9. Estimate defrosting time and press POWER LEVEL pad 8 times when you select the power level.

SPECIAL FEATURES REHEAT / COOK NOTE: 1. To reheat/cook other food or foods above or below the quantity allowed on the Reheat Chart /Cook Chart cook manually. 2. Reheat/Cook can be programmed with More or Less Time Adjustment. Touch POWER LEVEL once or twice before touching START. See page 14. Reheat / Cook automatically computes the correct warming or cooking time and microwave power level for foods shown in the chart below. • Suppose you want to reheat 2 cups of soup. PROCEDURE 1 Touch REHEAT once.

O T H E R C O N V E N I E N T F E AT U R E S MULTIPLE SEQUENCE COOKING MINUTE PLUS Minute Plus allows you to cook for a minute at 100% by simply touching the MINUTE PLUS pad. You can also extend cooking time in multiples of 1 minute by repeatedly touching the MINUTE PLUS pad during manual cooking. • Suppose you want to heat a cup of soup for one minute. The oven can be programmed for up to 3 automatic cooking sequences, switching from one power level setting to another automatically.

OTHER CONVENIENT FEATURES TIMER AUDIBLE SIGNAL ELIMINATION • Suppose you want to time a 3-minute long distance phone call. If you wish to have the oven operate with no audible signals, touch CLOCK, the number 5 and then touch the START pad and hold for 3 seconds. To cancel and restore the audible signal, touch CLOCK, the number 5 and STOP/CLEAR pads. PROCEDURE 1 Enter time. 2 Touch TIMER pad.

CLEANING AND CARE Disconnect the power cord before cleaning or leave the door open to inactivate the oven during cleaning. Exterior The outside surface is painted. Clean the outside with mild soap and water; rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use any type of household or abrasive cleaner. Door Wipe the window on both sides with a damp cloth to remove any spills or spatters. Metal parts will be easier to maintain if wiped frequently with a damp cloth.

SERVICE CALL CHECK Please check the following before calling for service: Place one cup of water in a glass measuring cup in the oven and close the door securely.
