Tablet Settings

You can change the settings for connecting the tablet to a PC
using Micro USB Cable 01 (sold separately).

In the home screen, [R]/[Settings]/[Storage]

Select an item
 MTP mode: This is a mode for transferring data to the tablet
memory or a microSD Card using a PC compatible with
MTP.
 PTP mode: This is a mode for transferring still pictures to the
tablet memory using a PC compatible with PTP.
 Card reader mode: This is a mode for using a microSD Card
inserted into the tablet as an external memory for a PC.
You can make settings for On/off with motion or Recent apps
key, or perform Self check.

 On/off with motion: For details nP. 69 “On/off with motion”
 Recent apps key: Set a function to use when you touch [}].

 Self check: For details nP. 69 “Self check”
You can make settings for the functions to turn the display on/
off with motions such as when you hold the tablet with your
hand or when you slide the touch panel with your finger.

 Bright Keep: Set whether to set the display not to be turned
off while holding the tablet with your hand.
 Turn off by putting flatly: Set whether to set the display to be
turned off when placing the tablet on a place nearly parallel
to the ground regardless of the setting of Screen timeout.
 Sweep ON: Set whether to set the display to be turned on by
sliding the touch panel with your finger while the display is
turned off.
 Let's Try!: Try functions or check how to use with a video
tutorial by using “Let's Try!”.
You can perform Self check of the tablet.

: Touch the history items of the diagnoses to check the results.
You can check names, versions, memory usage, etc. of apps,
enable/disable apps, uninstall them, etc.

■ Disabling an app
Terminate operations of an app and set it not to be displayed on the
app screen without uninstalling it.
You can disable apps which cannot be uninstalled.

You can measure the volume of data communicated via mobile
networks and display it on a diagram. Also, you can set the
tablet to give you a warning or make data communication no
longer available once the communication volume reaches its
set limit.

[Unmount USB memory]
Unmount the USB memory before removing it.
USB connection
When you transfer a great deal of data, the transference may
be interrupted. In this case, split the data into several files and
send them separately.
Useful
On/off with motion
[Bright Keep]
If you do not move or operate the tablet for a certain period of
time, the display may be turned off even while Bright Keep is
set and you are holding the tablet with your hand.
When Bright Keep is set to [ON (Notify)], [\] is displayed on
the status bar.
[Turn off by putting flatly]
This function is available when Bright Keep is set to [ON
(Notify)]/[ON (Not notify)].
This function may not follow the setting depending on the app in
use.
[Sweep ON]
If the proximity sensor is covered with a hand, an object, etc.,
the display cannot be operated by touching to prevent
inadvertent operations although the display is turned on. Also,
the display may be turned off regardless of the setting of the
tablet.
Self check
Apps
If you disable an app, other apps which link up with the disabled
app may not work properly. In this case, enable the app.
