5.8.4 Structure 1561: External horn element
Abstract representation of an external horn output. External horn elements receive their
commands directly from the higher ranking AREA. Typically the external horn is acti-
vated in accordance with the Cerberus Alarm Concept (CAC) after expiration of the
presence monitoring time V1 or alarm investigation time V2.

The element is in the ON state (connected into the circuit). The
affiliated horn output is in the quiescent state.
ACTIVE

The affiliated horn output is in the active state. ACKNOWLEDGE

The affiliated horn output is in the quiescent state. Incoming control
commands are not processed.
ON
FAULTY
Correct functioning of the element is not assured. The affiliated
horn output is in the quiescent state.

The ACTIVE, INACTIVE, ON and OFF commands influence all external horn ele-
ments of the corresponding area.
The ACTIVE command is only effective if a danger signal is available in the corre-
sponding area, or if the option “Evacuation” has been chosen in the configuration of
the area.
