3.1.3 Software requirements
This section presents the software requirements for installation of the MK8000 system.
Note that the English edition of the required software is available on the DMS8000 CD.
Stand-Alone (and server) station
Windows XP Professional SP3 x86 (32-bit) - or -
Windows Server 2003 Standard/Enterprise SP1/SP2 x86 (32-bit) or -
Windows Server 2008 Standard/Enterprise SP1 x86 (32-bit) - or -
Windows Server 2008 Standard/Enterprise R2 SP1 x64 (64-bit) - or -
Windows 7 Professional/Ultimate/Enterprise SP1 x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit)
(MK8000 runs in 32-bit emulation on Windows 64-bit)

MS SQL Server 2005 SP3 x86 (32-bit) - or -

Internet Information Services (IIS) is required for:
- NK8000 remote network monitor via web services (IIS should be installed with
default features)

SiPass Integrated software for integrated access control (required before installing
MK8000, see SiPass software notes [➙ 15])

OPC compatibility
MK8000 is compatible with OPC Data Access (DA) version 2.0.
Note: MK8000 is not compatible with OPC Data Access version 1.0.
