3.4.1 Welcome screen

The DMS8000 CD provides a welcome page that guides you in the installation

process. The page appears automatically when you insert the CD. In very special

cases, if the Autorun option is disabled on your PC, you need to execute the

Autorun.exe file manually in the CD main folder.

As shown in the following figure, the welcome page presents a menu including the

following commands:

 Install DMS8000 products as described here below.

 Install MT8001 Add-on and Tools.

 Install Support Tools (additional software for: NK8000, SiPass, Sintony).

 Browse the product Documentation.

This option includes the commands to open the Release Notes, browse the

Documentation files (PDF format), and install the Acrobat PDF Reader.

 Show the Contact Us information (customer support).

 Close the setup menu (Exit).

DMS8000 Welcome Page

1. In the welcome page, select DMS8000.

 The DMS8000 Installation page displays.

2. Click Install DMS8000 Station to start.

Note: If necessary, the prerequisite software [➙ 13] will be installed automatically.

Backward compatibility setup

During the software installation, the set-up logic of the prerequisite software may detect

that a higher version of the same software is already installed. In such cases, the

installation procedure generates a warning message, for example:
