3.4.12 Menu applications
MK8000 setup installs the following applications, available in the
 Start > Program > DMS8000 menu
Main applications
Icon Name Description
Tools See the following table.
Composer Configuration tool for configuring the OPC Server.
DMS8000 System Monitor Resident monitor or DMS8000 applications.
It shows the icon
on the right side of the Windows
taskbar.
Refer to Appendix A - System supervision and event
simulation [➙ 86].
PAK Manager Activates the hardware key with the software license
code.
Start MK8000 Server
1)
Manually starts the SBT.MK8000 OPC.
Stop MK8000 Server
1)
Manually stops the SBT.MK8000 OPC server.
System Supervisor Browser Monitors the MK8000 connection (this command is
available only to the installation user).

Icon Name Description
Composer Plug-in Installer
1)
Shows which plug-ins are currently loaded and
available in Composer, and allows for removing and
installing plug-ins.

Composer Technical Manual

Composer User Manager Allows adding and removing users enabled to access
Composer (any project) and defining their capability.
Composer users must be defined in Windows.
Refer to the
Composer Technical Manual
(A6V10062401).
Export Wizard Allows the configuration export into *.CSV file.
Inspector Logs OPC messages and activity for troubleshooting.
MK8000 Client Tests the server configuration and connection with the
subsystems.
