3.4.13 Technical utilities
The following utilities are also installed along with MK8000 software, although they are
not directly available on the programs menu.
3.4.13.1 Program Utilities
The folder <installation folder>\Utilities\
contains various sub-folders with utility programs. Some of them can be used by you
for specific purposes and are documented here.
WARNING
We recommend using these applications carefully. Also, do not start any utility
program not included in the list below or documented in other sections of this
documents.
Windows XP SP3/Vista/7 Firewall Configuration
The script MM8000 Firewall Cnf.vbs, provided in the folder:
<installation folder>\Utilities\Firewall Configuration
can configure the Windows XP SP3/Vista/7 firewall to allow MK8000 software to
communicate across the network. The script can be used on any type of MK8000
stations (stand-alone, client, FEP).
Line monitor
The Line Monitor utility can connect to the MM8000 (MK8000) communication drivers
and trace the messages on the screen or disk.
 See the online manual for more information (select Help > On-line Manual in the
Line Monitor program Menu).
NW8202
This program allows setting the IP address in the NK822x units.
 Refer to the NK8000 ICC Manual (A6V10062437).
Sintony Uploader
This utility software can acquire the structure and text data from the Sintony intrusion
control units over the serial line.
 Refer to DMS8000 Intrusion Connectivity Guide (A6V10359489).
SiPass Export Tool
This tool can acquire the configuration data from the SiPass system over an IP network
connection. Note that this program is also available in a dedicated folder of the
DMS8000 CD and can be used without installing the entire package.
