4.8.1 Backing up your data
When the configuration process is complete, do not forget to backup your project from
the Composer Projects Management window. Detailed instructions for this are located
in the
Composer Technical Manual
(A6V10062401). After you have backed up the
project you are ready to transfer the configuration to the MK8000 Server.
4.8.2 Checking license data
In order to run MK8000 with your configuration data, you need to provide an adequate
software license that covers the project features and size. When selecting the system
node, you can easily view the required license and also check the given requirements
against the license actually installed. Detailed instructions for this are located in section
Checking the license requirements [➙ 43].
4.8.3 Preparing MK8000 for the download
Prior to performing the download, you need to make sure that the Server tasks are
running.
If during installation [➙ 26] you enabled the Server auto-start, then the server tasks
automatically
start after any reboot. If you opted for Manual start, you need to launch
the Server now.
1. Do one of the following:
Select Start > Programs > DMS8000 > Start DMS8000 Server (Start MK8000
Server)
In the Windows system tray, right-click on the System Monitor icon
to open
the menu to start/stop the servers.
Note that the start-up procedure may take a few minutes.
In the same menu, you can start the
System Supervisor Browser
, which enables you to
verify in detail what Server tasks are running. For information, see A4 - Using the
S
ystem Supervisor Browser [92].
