Advanced menu

The Advanced menu includes the following:

 Start Server in Simulation Mode: start the system with an additional application that

allows simulating field events [➙ 89]. While running in this mode, MK8000 does not

comm

unicate with the field, but only with the simulator.

 Simulation Settings: this command permits to set the name of the simulation PC. In

most cases, the default option (localhost) is exactly what you need: i.e. using the

same MK8000 PC for running the simulation software.

If you wish to run the simulation software on another PC (this may actually provide

a better comfort), you can specify the PC name here and follow the instructions

given in section A3 - Simulating from a n

etworked computer [➙ 91].

 Show Advanced Information: checking this option allows getting more detailed

information in the status messages.
