New design installs easier for
a more concealed connection
The new patent-pending FBFZ flat fence bracket makes the
connection between rails and posts simple and strong. Its sleek
design offers a more concealed look. The FBFZ eliminates the need
for toenailing or screwing. The flat-plate design is a new addition
to the fence bracket line and is specially designed to both ease
installation and show less metal.
New, bendable tabs on each end of the bracket allow for slight
adjustment when wood rails are cut too short and provide a secure
connection when wood expands and contracts.
In addition to fence-rail connections, the FBFZ can also be used for
handrail assemblies for porches and decks that are no more than
30" above ground level. Check with the local building department
for all rail attachment requirements.
Key Features:
ZMAX galvanized for additional corrosion resistance for external
applications as well as those using preservative-treated wood
Flexible fastener holes can accommodate multiple types,
including nails and Strong-Drive

Fasteners: #9 x 1½" Strong-Drive SD Connector screws
or 10d x 1 ½" nails
The new FBFZ flat fence bracket offers a lower profile
for fence rail attachments.
Tabs on either end of the new FBFZ bracket can
be slightly bent to adjust for the rail length.
Installation:
1. Position the bracket on the end of the 2x4 rail
2. Install fasteners into all three holes
3. Slide rail into place against post or other wood member
4. Install one fastener through both the top and bottom holes into the post
Note: When using #9 x 1½" SD Connector screws, cut the rail short by ¼"
to account for the head thickness of the screws on each end.
