CONFIGURATION
InordertoallowtheinformationfromthePISeineSounder
sensortobeacceptedandunderstoodbythePIcatchmonitoring
system,thePIreceivermustbesetupcorrectly.Thismeansthat
youmusttellthereceiverthatthesensorexistsbyenteringthe
sensortype,communicationchannelsandupdaterate.Formore
detailedinformationaboutthesettingsandparameters,referto
therelevantoperatorand/orreferencemanuals.
Note
ThePISeineSoundersensorisa“dual”sensor.Thismeansthat
itwilloccupytwochannelsonyourPIsystem!
Upondelivery,allPISeineSoundersensorsaresetupwith
factorydefaultchannelsandupdaterates.Refertothetablein
sectionAboutsensorcongurationonpage20.
Note
ThesensorandthePIsystemsetupmustcorrespond,otherwise
thecommunicationwillnotwork.Tochangethesensorsetup
(channelselectionandupdaterate),usethePICongurator
utility.SeePIConguratoronpage21.
Basicconguration
Observethefollowingbasicsettings:
WhenyouputthePISeineSoundertouse,youmustsetit
upwithoneuniquesensornumberwithtwomeasurements.
Onlyoneupdateratecanbechosen,thisiscommonforboth
measurements.Thechannelnumbersaredenedindividually
forthetwomeasurements.Boththeupdaterateandthe
channelnumbersmustbechosenaccordingtothesensors
conguration.Writedownthiscongurationforfuture
reference.Fordefaultsettings,refertothetableinsection
Aboutsensorcongurationonpage20.
Onthereceiver,theInterferenceltermustbeswitched
on.SetittoLevel9ifyouhavenoiseproblemsfromother
hydroacousticsources.Notethatthislterswillinuencethe
signalspectrumshownintheStatusdisplay.
