:
The SMCWTVA100 will receive a new IP address from the LAN it
connected to over the Ethernet cable. Use that IP address to log into the
device from your web browser. The new address and URL will be shown on
the initial screen that is output from the HDMI connection to a display
device.
NON-BRIDGED CONNECTION SETUPS
If your PCs, smartphones, and tablets already connect to a local LAN or
WLAN that the SMCWTVA100 can also connect to, then it is not necessary
to connect your devices directly over wireless to the SMCWTVA100 except
in Miracast or Mirror mode (Miracast protocol is a point-to-point wireless
only protocol). You can connect the SMCWTVA100 to your local LAN or
WLAN and then use its new IP address to connect to it from your devices
on the same LAN (WLAN).
WIRED CONNECTION
SETUP
In this mode, as shown in Figure 10, your SMCWTVA100 connects directly
to a local LAN over Ethernet cable. All devices (except those using
Miracast) can connect to the SMCWTVA100 over the local W/LAN in order
to screencast. Use the “Bridge over Ethernet” mode in the Quick Connect
setup to use this mode.
