server entry, you have the option of either entering another one or ending the entry.
After the DNS server has been entered, the device will try to establish a connection with
the entered data.
If the entered data are correct, your elements W will connect to the network. If the entered
data are incorrect, you will receive the corresponding error message.
Cable/WLAN
This menu item allows you to perform settings about the desired type of network connection. To
conrm the selection, press the menu button.
AUTO
If this option is selected, your elements W will look for WLAN as well as LAN connections.
Cable only
The setting Cable only restricts the search to networks that are connected to the device through
the network socket on the back. There is no search for WLAN networks.
WLAN only
This setting restricts the search for networks to available wireless networks.
If WLAN only is selected, the following additional menu items will also appear in the preceding
menu.
Search for networks
The option Search for networks allows you to start a new search for wireless networks. To start a
new search, press the menu button.
Enter name of network
This option gives you the possibility of entering the network name (SSID) of a wireless network.
Select the desired symbol with the UP or DOWN buttons and conrm your selection by pres-
sing the menu button. You can change incorrect entries by pressing the BACK button. You can
see the current symbol in the top left corner below the iRadio lettering.
NOTE
The following symbols are available for the entry of a name:
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
0123456789<|=>+ -_!?@#$%^&*:;`´“.,\ /[]{}()~ END
END completes the entry of the key.
Please observe the lower and upper cases of the lettering if needed
Complete your entry by selecting END and conrm the entry by pressing the menu button. Now
the device will try to establish a connection to the entered network.
Low signal warning
This function will inform you if the signal strength of the WLAN network is no longer sufcient.
