11.1 Searching for a station
To nd the next station with a strong signal in the lower frequency range, press the DOWN
button on the navigation ring until the scanning starts on the display.
To nd the next station with a strong signal in the higher frequency range, press the UP
button on the navigation ring until the scanning starts on the display.
To manually set another frequency, briey press the DOWN button or UP button. The
frequency will be switched one step at a time.
NOTE
If your FM reception is weak, you should connect the external FM antenna and
make sure that the FM switch at the back of the device is in the right position
(see the chapter “Connecting the antenna”).
If the reception is too weak even with the plugged-in antenna, realign the anten-
na or place the device in a different location.
11.2 Storing a station
The sonoro elements W offers ten program memory presets.
Storing a station in the device
1. Set the station that you would like to store.
2. Press the FAVOR button on the device until the program memory is opened.
3. The display will show SAVE FAVORITE followed by a number 1-10. By pressing the UP or
DOWN button you can select the desired memory preset. If the current memory preset is
already taken, the name of the station stored at this position appears behind the display text
RDS NAME. Beneath this, the currently set frequency appears next to the display text FM.
If no station is stored in this position, the word FREE will be displayed here instead of the
frequency.
4. Select the desired memory preset as described and conrm your selection by pressing the
menu button.
5. The display will indicate SAVING.
6. To return to the original display, press the FAVOR button again or wait about 5 seconds until
the device automatically returns to the original display.
11.3 Storing a station with the remote control
NOTE
Only the program presets 1-5 can be stored with the remote control. Accessing
the program presets 6-10 is done exclusively through the FAVOR button on the
device.
